The Last Month in Polish

I haven’t updated you guys on my polishes for a few weeks! It’s been a big month in manicures. Yes, my life is THAT exciting.

I still have a 5k and bachelorette/shower to update you on soon, but besides those, please meet the best part of my January!

It started with Julep Hoch with Deborah Lippmann Mermaid’s Dream accents:

That’s unfortunately the best quality photo I got of that gorgeous mani! I loved the different colors and textures together.

Speaking of DL’s, I got a few in the mail from a Christmas Gilt gift card purchase:

Deborah Lippmann’s Glitter in the Air and Ruby Red Slippers. I haven’t worn them yet but can’t wait!

Another order came in last month too- Zoya had a great 3 for free deal! I took advantage of it, clearly.

Besides the remover, I got (L-R) Tanzy, Michelle, Sloane, Megan, Bevin, and Yara.

Tanzy was the first one I tried:

Talk about a gorgeous, sunny color!

For my trip to New Jersey for my sister’s bachelorette and bridal shower, I did OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, and two accent nails with Orly Rage and stamped with Lincoln Park After Dark. Great success for my first stamping mani!

I wish I had a better quality shot of this one too. Also, I need to find a good true rose gold polish! This one was less bronzey and more gold/silver in this manicure.

I tried another Zoya after my trip, Yara:

I used new dotting tools to add some silver dot accents using Sonia Kashuk Smoke and Mirrors.

Love how the dots brought out the metallic flecks!

And last but not least, I went plain for a work trip, with L’Oreal Tea and Crumpets (which isn’t on their website so I think it might be older, I did a swap for it.)

A little simple, but gorgeous.

I decided to add a little flair when I got back from my trip and found my Julep February add-on, Jane, in my mailbox.

Yay accent nail!

I also was able to re-swatch all my polishes earlier this month…

My collection is now more organized than ever!

I’d say January was a great month in nail polish… can’t wait to see what February holds for my addiction!

  • A couple of questions for you because I love the nail polish love :)

    1) How many times a week do you usually switch polish? I ask because you have such an awesome collection and I don’t know how you choose!

    2) Besides what I see above with your awesome swatches, does your collection stay out on the counter like that all the time or do you store it in bins? My collection has overgrown what I used to store it in and I’m looking for solutions.

    Happy Monday!

Fun! Glitter in the Air looks just like the Revlon Whimsical polish I just got!

Love the dots and glitter! You are much more creative than me when it comes to nail art! I really like the dots as a bottom border!

  • You’re so organized, I love it!!!

I think your Hoch and Yara manis are my faves!

  • I love your first one with the green on green. And I love the polka dot one. And I like the accent nail one. I love them all. Come do my nails for me, please? Also, I love your swatches. I really need to do mine…

  • I want another zoya sale cuz now I’m in love. Paloma and Daul were MAJOR scores. Love them! Hopefully by end of Feb me and Laura can get to the nail store for our next haul!

  • oh my wow. that is a serious collection!

mine is quickly growing, thanks to julep & their awesome add-ons + secret store + mystery boxes, etc! haha…and i don’t want to think about how much $$ i’ve spent on nail polish in the past months. at least it is forcing me to keep up my manicure so i don’t feel guilty about having so many. :)

  • I love the olive and silver dots – it’s not a combo I would’ve thought of, but I think it looks fab! I’m going to give it a try soon.

  • Wow I love all the colors, especially that orange Zoya! And I love your system for keeping track of all the colors you have. I need a new storage system for all my polish… a shelf or a bigger box…so I can display them.
