I had a good week!
Week: -1.8
Total: -43
Love those even loss weeks… when I can say I lost XX pounds, without a point-something at the end. Just a personal thing!
I ate so many veggies this week and really tried hard. I did occasionally go over by about 100 calories, but I felt really comfortable with my dietary choices and of course, all the “running.”
C25K is… hard. Some days I’m shocked by how much I look forward to it, how great I feel after, and how much less tired I am after the runs compared to a week ago. But then when I am “running,” I’m not impressed. I think a grandma in a walker could scoot-run past me faster. My pace today was miserable… I ran before work this morning (it was a BEAUTIFUL 75 degrees out!) and I don’t know if it’s because I’ve felt a little under the weather, but I put up a poor showing.
I’m really hoping that I can get to a point where I’m comfortable jogging for longer spans of time. The entire time I’m jogging I am praying for that voice to say “begin walking.” Please tell me that my body will get used to running more and more? Bueller? My Orlando friend Lisa (who is blogging about her training too!) is signed up for some races, and I hope to join her for one or two if I start to feel more comfortable with running. Fingers crossed! I might have to re-do week 3 to help me get more used to it.
I also got some swap goodies from the Just Add Color Fall Swap- nail polish and scarves :)
My swap partner was Libby, from It’s Never Too Late… Although I’m Always Late! She got me a cute lightweight knit scarf in gorgeous grey and turquoise for the scarf part. It will be perfect for the cold days in Florida’s “winter” where I need just a light scarf. She also got me two essie nail polishes… one of my dream polishes, Very Structured, and a very fun Florida color, Braziliant. You can’t really see it here, but Braziliant is orange with a hot pink shimmer. It doesn’t get much more Florida than that!
She also threw in some fun Halloween stickers and orange and gold bangle bracelets. I loved my package- thank you so much Libby!!!
And thanks to Jessica and Ashlee for hosting!
I cannot wait to try out the Very Structured nail polish… I have been wanting it for more than a year. It will have to wait though… tonight I do my nails for the wedding this weekend. Our friends Lyd and Aaron are here (staying with us until going to a hotel tomorrow for a week) and we’re definitely going to do nails tonight. I took off my old nail polish last night… how is this for a week’s worth of wear!?!
I chipped my pointer nail after a day or so trying to get something that was stuck in my teeth (don’t use your nails as tools!) but the rest looked awesome after a week. If this isn’t a testament to using a base coat and top coat (and GOOD ones) then I don’t know what is. DO IT, people!!
More nails tomorrow for the Nail Files if I can get my ish together. We’re headed out of here around 6:30am so it might be rough – I don’t plan on staying up late. Either way, I will have updates for you on the wedding and all nails/accessories next week!

Woot woot!!! Love your weigh in posts! PS check out Jungle Queen by China Glaze, it’s my new fav.. .comes out more gray than purple with an awesome plum undertone.
Oh my GAWWWWSH I love it! Gotta add that to my list. PS I am always on the lookout for Turquoise & Caicos for you so let me know if you ever find it… if not, I will be buying it for you eventually! LOL
YAY thanks! I can’t believe how tough that one is to find down here! Crazy! :( I’m planning to do another nail trip maybe end of the month so start making a wish list, hehe!
oh i love that scarf! I’m so proud of your weight loss! As far as running goes, I never liked it. I somehow ran track and cross country in high school (what was I thinking?) and then I’ve done two 1/2 marathons. BUT…I did the first one as a run/walk and then the second one just walking. Not only was I FASTER when I walked (and didn’t add in the running), but I lost more weight walking. Basically, I hate running and will gladly speed walk over it any day. Do what works for you!
Wow! I’m impressed with your weight loss, your running AND your nails! GO YOU! :)
I should probably exercise. Love that you’re doing so well!
Running will get easier, I promise!! Starting out is the hardest, but it will be better! I am so proud of you! You rock!!
So little… I am LOVING your blog! About 1.5 years ago I use MFP and C25K and lost around 25 pounds. Unfortunately, I gained 10-15 pounds back, but am back on the bandwagon and have re-lost 10 pounds. Can we be MFP friends? thanks for sharing your journey… It is truly inspiring including your before and after pics:)
Congrats on your weight loss! And yes running will get easier with time! And don’t feel bad about pace or walking. It’s all about the miles you can get on your feet.
Running will get easier for sure! It’s also a lot more fun when you participant in a 5k instead of trucking along alone. Definitely let me know and we can go on a run together. Thanks for the blog shoutout too :)
Those polish colors are perfect for fall, Braziliant is such a fun color! Cute bracelets too. By the way, I feel you on the C25K, that sh*t is HARD!
In Spring or when the weather is nice and there is no snow I plan on starting C25K and will be coming to you for pointers! Also this week I was feeling lazy and skipped my base coat and after two days my nails look so bad!
YAY for losing weight! Whenever I go over my points on WW I look to see why I went over, and if I’m happy with my choices I’m ok with going over. :o)
What a great color swap package! Love the colors of the polish and the scarf! Looks so comfy!
Seriously woman, can you stop looking amazing! Enjoy your wedding wknd!!! :)
You look so good – I’m so excited for you! Have fun at the wedding! :)
Came over from Jess’ blog to say hello! Love the weigh in posts. I do a weekly weigh in myself on Mondays, also doing MFP and C25K and I agree, it’s tough! You seem to be doing a fantastic job though. Keep up the good work! And come by and say hi sometime. :) flipflopsandguinness.blogspot.com
You look great!
Love the goodies from the swap!
Bruce, Daisy and I hope you have a great Monday!

I love that brownish nail color! I never paint my nails.. they always chip after a couple days and then I never take off the polish before they’re just embarassing. Soo.. I tend to avoid painting my finger nails. I wish I had more patience with it. Can we still be friends?
