I have accumulated a nice little pile of polishes this week!
From left to right are: Spoiled by Wet n Wild in Pet My Peacock, Essie Bikini So Teeny, Zoya Purity, Zoya America, and Zoya Gemma.
What came first was my Zoya order. One of my all-time favorite bloggers and people, Alyssa from Double Chin Diary, (Actually it was Jessica, I got mixed up since Alyssa commented on my facebook post about it! Whoops!) tipped me off that on July 4th you could enter a code that got you the America color free if you had at least $10 in your cart. And shipping was free, so I opted to get two with the America color. I needed white (since the one I had was such crap I mixed it into an old red to make a fun pink color) and I have been lusting over Gemma, so it was a no-brainer.
I had to start with Gemma when it arrived this week. You can see the gorgeous blueish/purple sheen it has in this picture, taken pre-Seche Vite topcoat.
It ended up looking great!
Unfortunately I’ve had more chipping than I usually do with Zoya, but I’ll hope that is just me not prepping my nails well enough. While enjoying a beer last night I noticed that my nails matched the bottle:
The Red Hook Long Hammer IPA is one that I’ve tried in a restaurant once or twice but never brought home. It was great! B had their ESB. I had to stop after one and a quarter beers though, since it gave me heartburn. Gettin’ old, womp.
While buying dog food the other night I also came across a color I’ve been lusting after, the famous Essie Bikini So Teeny. Near the Essie display was the Spoiled display. Less than $2, I’ll take it! You never know how the quality of such inexpensive nail polish is going to be, but I felt it was safe to buy a glitter. (Have any of you tried Spoiled nail polish? Thoughts?)
I think these two will look awesome together… accent nail, perhaps?

And if you are a fan of the glitter’s name- Pet My Peacock- then check out Anne’s blog Hell on Heels today, she’s using that phrase in a sentence or two, and is doing a fun giveaway as well!
As always, I am also linking up to the fabulous Nail Files (thanks to Vicki and Tara!)
I have found two new blogger obsessions through the link-up (who are remaining nameless because I tend to come off like a stalker, sorry) so if you’re looking for new blogs to read, check out the Nail Files link up and see if you are inspired by any mani/pedi posts!
Can’t wait to show you those manicures sometime soon! I’ll be in Atlanta next week so posting might be light. Wonder what color I should paint my nails for my work trip? (Note: glitter is probably not going to be top of the list!) I’ll try and update with what I pick to rock in the ATL. Have a great weekend everyone!

Ooh I hope you do the glitter accent nail! They look like they would go great together.
So pretty! I love that green. & your pugs :)
The Pet My Peacock is Wet n’ Wild?! I love the colors of the glitter! love the color of the Essie, and what a great deal on those Zoya polishes. They have great deals from time to time.
Good luck & safe travels on your work trip to the ATL!
That blue will look amazing with the glitter as an accent nail – so fun! I’ve been looking for a good glitter nail polish for a while now!
that glitter looks amaaazziiinngggg
I love all of those colors!! I wish I had known about the America color! That is awesome! I’ve never used Zoya before, but Ive heard really good things about the brand. And I love the glitter and blue together. I just love using glitter polish… even though I swear every time I take it off I will never use them again. They just look so good!!
I have not tried any Spoiled nail polishes… but looks like it would be a great accent nail color!
Usually I would be like “green nails, wtf” but those look awesome, especially with that beer bottle! I’ve also been lusting over that Essie color so I’m excited to see how it’ll look :) I found you via the nail files and am excited to follow along!
I know, right? I used to be so much more conservative with my color choices… it surprises me what I like more and more these days!!!! Thanks for stopping by!
I don’t think I tipped you off on the zoya deal because I got in on it because of you, lol! Either way major warm fuzzies from the sweet things you said about me! :) I’m bummed because I bought OPI Funky Dunky this week and it’s chipping like crazy- so not like OPI!!I
You are 100% right I mixed you and Jesstagirl up… fixing now!!! And ugh, nothing worse than chipping nail polish!
You have been totally inspiring me to try new things with these nail features and I came up with a great blue and gold glitter combo that looked like a bathroom fixture from the 60′s which was awesome!
I love that Essie light blue. I reallly need to paint my nails but Essie is expensive near me!
[...] color at all. I thought it would be fun but probably forgettable. Boy, was I wrong! I blogged it here. The color is beautiful, but the purple-y sheen just totally makes this polish. Glitters are fun, [...]
