Recycled Manicures

Have you ever had a manicure that’s run it’s course, but not wanted to completely re-do it?

I’ve been in that situation the last week… and ended up recycling my mani/pedi from the last week!

The reason for my quiet last week was some work travel. I went back to Indianapolis Tuesday-Thursday, and wanted to have a simpler manicure for the training.

I kept my toes from my previous mani/pedi, but added a matte top coat. Then I painted my fingers with a pale turquoise and the same matte top coat.

Revlon Mon Cherry toes, Pure Ice Home Run nails (less than $2 at Walmart but it’s not on their website), both with Sephora by OPI matte top coat.

I was glad I could “recycle” my pedicure. Unfortunately, my manicure didn’t fare well. I smashed my finger while loading my luggage. So when I got back, I changed my fingers to a new color.

Zoya Coraline from the Zoya Blogger Collection by Birchbox.

It is a sheer jelly color, which I didn’t love. I don’t know if it was the shade or orange or the sheer nature of it… I just don’t think it looked that great on me. BUT, the sheen was phenomenal. It was so shiny!

It was time to fancy it up after a day or two though. I added some sparkle…

I added a topcoat of Belle, also from the Zoya Blogger Collection from Birchbox. I painted it over my current pedicure as well.

Belle doesn’t photograph well at all, unfortunately. It added tons of dimension and shine, as well as a warm, pinkish tint.

As always, I’m linking up with Tara and Vicki for the Nail Files! I’m linking this one up to last week’s, since I’m a little late. Hopefully I’ll have a new look to show on Friday too.
