Woohoo, more belated recaps of spring/summer for you!
Back in June, the week after the Wine Festival weekend, I was lucky enough to attend my sorority sister Andrea’s wedding! If you don’t know who I’m talking about, check out this post about Andrea from the last time she was in town. Big Daddy had to work, as per usual, but I was able to make it! We slept six deep in a room (comfortably- with two doubles and a sofa bed) that consisted of four Sigma Kappas, one of our college girlfriends, and one of Andrea’s work friends. It was awesome! Here are the pictures to tell the story of the weekend…
I got ready with “Krashley,” aka Kristin and Ashley. We hadn’t seen enough other since graduation so it was great catching up. We took the provided transportation to the church and met up with our Sig Kap sister Kiki, aka the made of honor.

The church was amazing… we got seated and waited for the attendants to walk down the aisle. Kiki looked beautiful!
Next came Andrea and her dad!
I was so wowed… Andrea looked gorgeous.
The vows were heartfelt and sweet… the officiant got to know them and told their story, even throwing in a few jokes.
And before we knew it… Andrea and Garrett were walking back down the aisle and husband and wife!
Yep, that has been her facebook pic since the wedding. I AM AWESOME.
Although below is my absolute favorite picture from the wedding…
They are such a cute couple! Garrett also went to college with us, so it was a great crew.
There are some details that clearly everyone loves to see… the cake!
And… the APPETIZERS.
True story: on the way there (I drove from Indy to Columbus, OH for the event) I kept thinking, “I hope there are meatballs, I hope there are meatballs…” And during cocktail hour, like magic, they had asian-style meatball skewers.. They also had candied bacon… check out this presentation!
I think that’s my dream plate. It was so delicious!
The party got started after cocktail hour. I was at the same table as my “ex-husband,” aka my friend Alex who went to college with us. We were just friends, but listed ourselves as married for fun on Facebook for a while circa ’05-’06. Which is, clearly, awkward.
FYI, I told him to be awkward in the picture. HE WASN’T.
All the guests danced the night away- the band was amazing! I was hoarse the next day from fist-pumping and singing along. Krashley and I took a break from dancing to take a picture with our drinks…
This was done on purpose… since we took a similar picture almost exactly six years ago, when we spent a summer study abroad together in Sicily!
We really loved our amaretto sours back in 2005!
It was so amazing to spend time with my sorority sisters. They bring me back to some really fun times!
I love it when I’m able to attend weddings!!! Everyone who gets married needs to do it within a three hour or less drive please. Makes me a lot happier.
PS… Sig Kap Love!

Candied bacon? Nice! That really looks like it was a fun wedding. Too bad B couldn’t go!
Such fun! It’s wonderful to keep in touch with friends! Glad you had a fun time and more great memories!
What a beautiful bride! Looks like you had a great time. :)
Ahhh!
1- candied bacon?!?!?! Get…outta…town.
2- love seeing familiar faces here…what a fun time! I haven’t been invited to many weddings post-college…but it is so nice to see old friends
3- ALEXXX! :) My heart. Love that kid. :)
Ooooh I’m gonna need to have my chef put candied bacon on our menu so when I do weddings I can eat it every weekend. Not that the staff ever eats the leftovers…
Looks like you had a fab time!
- Looks like a blast.
- I really like the BM dresses too.
- MMMMMM bacon.
